When envisioning their beautiful new home during construction, one aspect that this family (and the builders) hadn’t thought of yet was outdoor lighting. Their gorgeous Ocean Ridge home was unseen in the night and the hours of enjoyment of their outdoor living space were limited between dawn and dusk. When the homeowners heard of Prestige Outdoor Lighting and their extensive design process, they were intrigued. After an initial consultation, they were still slightly unsure on what exactly they wanted or needed to achieve their lighting goals. To help them envision their own home and which architectural features they most wanted to highlight, Prestige Outdoor Lighting paid a visit to their property in the early evening hours.
A demonstration was completed using actual fixtures to illuminate each feature of the property, one by one. Photos were taken documenting the entire process and later the family was shown a presentation of their own home with each potential light to decide how they wanted to proceed. The design team, equipped with years of experience and accreditation from the AOLP, was able to offer several options. These included placing focus on the front windows versus the front walls of the home, and the family was guided on what would be best and most functional for their ultimate goals of added security, safety, and highlighting their favorite features. Once the design plans were concrete, the new low voltage landscape lighting system was installed on the property, securing the home as a shining beacon in Ocean Ridge in the evening hours.
